Zündapp was an essential German motorcycle manufacturer created in 1917 in Nuremberg through Fritz Neumeyer, together with the Friedrich Krupp AG along with the machine tool manufacturer Thiel beneath the name "Zünder- und Apparatebau Grams. m. b. The first Zündapp motorcycle was the actual model Z22 in 1921. This was the Motorrad für Jedermann ("motorcycle for everyone"), a simple, reliable design that was manufactured in large series. Zündapp's history of heavy motorcycles began in 1933 using the K-series. The "K" refers to any type of drivetrain that these types used, Kardanantrieb, meaning enclosed driveshaft together with two universal joints.
